Privacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
Linkafe is an Android app by Asad Waheed for saving links from other apps, sorting them into categories and getting reminded about them. This policy explains what happens to your information. The short version: Linkafe has no account, no tracking and no servers of its own. Everything you save stays on your phone.
1. What the app stores
On your phone only, in the app's private storage:
- The links you save, with their title, site name and preview picture.
- The categories you create.
- The reminders you set (which link, and when).
- Simple settings, such as your sort order and the last category you used.
We never receive this information. Android keeps the app's storage private to Linkafe and encrypted on the device.
2. What we do not collect
Linkafe has no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting service. We do not collect, sell or share any personal information, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
3. Link previews
To show a link's title and picture, the app opens that link's own web page from your phone, the same way a browser would, and reads the preview details the page provides. This request goes only to the website of the link you saved. That website may see a normal web request from your phone, such as your IP address, as with any page you visit. Its own privacy policy applies to it.
4. Reminders and permissions
- Notifications: used only to show the reminders you set.
- Alarms & reminders: optional, so a reminder arrives at the exact minute you chose. Without it, reminders can be a few minutes late.
- Internet: used only to load link previews, as described above.
Reminders are scheduled on your phone; no reminder data leaves the device.
5. Backup
If you turn on Android backup for your Google account, Android may back up your saved links, categories, reminders and settings so they come back when you reinstall the app or move to a new phone. Linkafe allows this only when the backup can be encrypted end to end with your phone's screen lock. Preview pictures are not backed up; they are loaded again. Backup is provided and controlled by Google and Android under your Google account settings, and we cannot see it.
6. Deleting your data
You can delete any link or category in the app at any time. Uninstalling Linkafe removes everything from your phone. To remove a backup, delete it in your Google account's backup settings.
7. Children
Linkafe is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
